Bragg <br />Milt Sanstrom, P.E. <br />Week of <br />November 15, 1982 <br />At 10:00 a.m., Chairman Brown called the meeting to order. <br />All members were present. <br />Allocation to Peninsula Tourism Council: As follow-up to <br />his previous presentation, Brent Shirley presented an agreement out- <br />lining the Council's services to be performed and the County's <br />allocation of $3,000.00 to the Council for tourism promotion. he <br />reviewed the tourism promotion at the State and local levels and the <br />Council's budget for 1982. Following discussion, Commissioner O'Meara <br />moved to approve and sign the agreement for the calendar year 1982. <br />Commissioner Mercer seconded the motion. Unanimous. A hearing date <br />regarding appropriation of these funds will be set. <br />Flooding on Bergerson Property: Mike Bergerson reported to <br />the Board that the cu verts are too small to handle the amount of <br />water during heavy storms. Chairman Brown explained that larger cul- <br />verts would not solve the problem. Dredging the river would help, <br />but the Department of Fisheries will not allow the County to dredge. <br />Also, beaver dams on the creek are causing problems. <br />Approval of Minutes: Commissioner Mercer seconded Commis- <br />sioner O'Pleara s motion to approve and sign the minutes for the week <br />of November 8, 1982. Unanimous. <br />Agreement; Amendment to EPA Grant: On the motion by Com- <br />missioner Meara, seconded y Commissioner Mercer, Chairman Brown <br />signed the agreement amending Environmental Protection Agency Grant <br />#C-530821-01-1. This amendment reflects a decrease due to an audit <br />of ENCON's participation in the Mid-Quimper Peninsula area facilities <br />planning study. <br />Budget Transfers: Following review of the requests, Commis- <br />sioner Mercer made a motion, seconded by Commissioner O'Meara and <br />unanimously passed, to approve the transfers by signing Resolution No. <br />140-82, Central Services, $150.00; Resolution No. 141-82, Building <br />a-intenance, $1,000.00; Resolution No. 142-82, Civ T- ervice Commis- <br />sion, $60.00; Resolution No. 143-82, Planning Department, $100.00. <br />Special Occasion License: Commissioner Mercer moved to <br />approve the application by tae QuiTcene Booster Club for a license <br />for December 31, 1982. Commissioner O'Meara seconded. Unanimous. <br />S.2792, Ocean and Coastal Development Impact Assistance <br />Block Grant: In response to a letter trom the Department ot Eco ogy, <br />letters to enators Jackson and Gorton supporting this senate bill <br />for funding of shorelines programs were signed by the entire Board. <br />Uniform Addressing System: Dave Goldsmith reported to the <br />Board that final implementation o the system has been delayed until <br />after the first of the year.
