<br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />.-/ <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />WEEK OF NOVEMBER 18, 1996 <br /> <br />Chairman Richard Wojt called the meeting to order at the appointed time. <br />Commissioner Glen Huntingford and Commissioner Robert Hinton were both present. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS' BRIEFING SESSION <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Commissioner Hinton moved to approve the <br />minutes of November 12, 1996 as written. Commissioner Huntingford seconded the motion <br />which carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />PUBLIC SERVICES BRIEFING: Public Services Director Gary Rowe reported <br />that he will be reviewing his recommendations on each department's preliminary 1997 budget <br />requests this afternoon at the budget workshop. The discussion then turned to the Planning <br />Department's review of the draft Comprehensive Plan and possible changes in the staffing level <br />in the Planning Department in the next year. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following comments were made: a property <br />owner stated that a private survey of the Arcadia West Street area, done in 1978 by a person <br />who worked for the County, was a conflict of interest and an easement was not included in the <br />survey. Klara Fabry, Public Works Director, reported that the Public Works Department is <br />reviewing the records for this area and will report back to the Board at a meeting sometime <br />toward the end of December; how the process for review of the draft Comprehensive Plan will <br />proceed and if the Planning Commission will be included in this process? Community Devel- <br />opment Director Al Scalf reported that he will outline the review process and present that to the <br />Board and the Planning Commission; the community planning groups need to be included in the <br />Comprehensive Plan review process in some way and be notified of the schedule for public <br />review; the Quimper Planning group has plans to review the draft Comprehensive Plan when it <br />is issued to the public; and whether or not to develop time lines for the Comprehensive Plan <br />review, when the time lines in the past have never been kept. <br /> <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />'.'0'- <br /> <br />22 '~G~ <br /> <br />('-¡C' <br />01GGJ <br />
