Brown in the <br />presence of Commissioner B. G. Brown and Commissioner Larry W. Dennison. <br /> <br />BEARING: Propo~ed Amendment to Ordinance 1-85 and Ordinance <br />1-88: Jefferson County Health Department Fee Schedule for Environmental <br />Health Division Services: Kathy Stafford, Health Department Ad- <br />ministrator, and Gwen Howard, Linda Atkins and Celia Kadushin, Health <br />Department Environmental Health TeChnicians, were present when Chairman <br />George Brown opened the hearing for public comment. The proposed fees <br />were discussed. Hearing no public comment, the Chairman closed the <br />hearing.. <br /> <br />Chairman George Brown asked about several of the new fees for food service. <br />Kathy Stafford explained that some of the new items are just defining the <br />charges for different types of services (i.e. charging grocery stores by <br />the number of checkstands instead of a flat fee no matter the size of the <br />store). Commissioner Dennison asked why the food service fee increases <br />vary so much? Gwen Howard stated that the proposed fees were based on fees <br />charged by other counties as well as by consideration for the time involved <br />in dealing with each item. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dennlson moved to approve Ordinance NO.4-89 adopting the <br />changes to the fee schedule for environmental health services in the Health <br />Department as presented. Commissioner B. G. Brown seconded the motion. <br />The motion carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT. Admi nistrati ve re: Deferred Compensation Program and <br />Plan Document: National ~sociation of Counties: commissioner Dennison <br />moved to approve and have the Chairman sign the Administrative Agreement <br />and Plan Document for the Deferred Compensation Program offered by the <br />National Association of Counties. Commissioner B. G. Brown seconded the <br />motion which carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM COpNTY DEPAR~ENTS: <br /> <br />HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />CONTRACT re: 1989 Professional services of the Health Departm~nt: <br />The City of Port Townsend: Commissioner B. G. Brown moved to approve the <br />Health Department's professional services contract with the City of Port <br />Townsend for 1989 as presented. commissioner Pennison seconded the motion.' <br />The motion carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Val. 15 rM~ on 5547 <br />
