Becker, P.E. <br />Jerdine C. Bragg <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />July 3, 1978 <br /> <br />10:00 a.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman C. M. Mercer with Commissioner <br />Brown present and Commissioner O'Meara absent due to being on <br />vacation. <br /> <br />Hearing: Six Year Road Construction Program. Due to Engineer Becker <br />being on vacation, it was moved by Commissioner Brown, second <br />by Chairman Mercer to delay action until July 10, 1978. <br /> <br />Plat Alteration to Chimacum Creek Estates: Kenneth A. Clark, PLS, submitted <br />the altered plat map of Chima cum Creek Estates, approved June 12, <br />1978, for signing by the Board. After checking to make sure the <br />map was correct, it was moved by Commissioner Brown, second by <br />Chairman Mercer to approve and sign the plat map. <br /> <br />Acceptance of Proposal: for collecting and selling merchantable salvage <br />at the Port Townsend Landfill. Motion by Commissioner Brown, <br />second by Chairman Mercer to accept and sign the agreement with <br />Herschel L. Atkinson. <br /> <br />Agreement: Drop Box Caretaker - Brinnon area. Motion by Commissioner Brown, <br />second by Chairman Mercer to sign agreement with Elmer T. Ingle. <br /> <br />Appointment of Member to the Shoreline Management Advisory Committee: Only <br />one person applied. Motion by Commissioner Brown, second by <br />Chairman Mercer to appoint A. B. Cameron to fill the unexpired <br />term of W. E. Seton. Effective date of term is July 3, 1978 to <br />March 1, 1980. <br /> <br />Letter to Jail Commission re: Proposed plans for jail construction. Motion <br />by Commissioner Brown, second by Chairman Mercer to sign the <br />letter to BJSS for submittal by them to the Jail Commission along <br />with the plans. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM COUNTiDEPARTMENTS: <br /> <br />Auditor re: 1) Report of Revenues collected through June 30, 1978. Total <br />less building permits - $31,828.54. <br /> <br />2) Uniform size for plat maps. Mrs. Anderson requested the <br />Board to set requirements specifying that all plat maps <br />to be submitted measure 18" x 24". The Board concurred. <br />Engineer, Planning and Health Departments will be <br />notified. <br /> <br />Sheriff re: 1) Sale of County Vehicle. The Board said other salable <br />county property should be collected to sell all at one <br />time rather than going to the expense of having an auction <br />for just one item. Also, the car should be stored at the <br />County shop until sold. <br /> <br />2) Dispatch position open for Sunday shift. He requests the <br />Board consider letting the Records Manager work the Sunday <br />day shift at Dispatch rate of pay.
