Bragg <br />Milt Sanstrom, P.E. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />M I U'T E S <br /> <br />Week of <br />May 24, 1982 <br /> <br />All members were present when Chairman Brown called the <br />meeting to order at 10:OOa.m. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes: Commissioner Mercer seconded Commis- <br />sioner O'Meara's motion to approve and sign the minutes for the week <br />of May 17, 1982 as presented. Unanimous. <br /> <br />Requests re: Property on South Point Road: Tom Ivooc!')ury <br />appeared betore the Board to request that he be allowed to use an <br />existing County right-of-way for driveway access to his prol)e;~~y. He <br />further requested a variance to the ten-foot setback required for <br />drainfields, due to soil conditions and well location. Both requests <br />were approved by motion of Commissioner O~~eara, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Mercer and made unanimous, the variance permitting drainfield <br />location to be closer to the 30-foot parking area and unopened road <br />on the north side. <br /> <br />HeafT'rig;-ffudget Exten-s~on;-T6mniunnYSefvfces: No one - - <br />appeared to speak tor or against this extension when Chairman Brown <br />opened the hearing. Following brief discussion, the hearing was <br />closed, and Commissioner O'Meara moved to approve and sign Resolution <br />No. 52-82 incorporating and distributing additional funds into the <br />Community Services budget. Commissioner Mercer seconded. Unanimous. <br /> <br />Boldt Decision: The Board read a letter from Bud Norris, <br />Skagit County Commissioner and member of Fisheries Resources Action <br />Group, requesting support for legislation to overturn the Boldt <br />Decision regarding allocation of salmon and steelhead. Following dis- <br />cussion, there was unanimous approval of Commissioner O'Meara's motion, <br />seconded by Commissioner Mercer, to sign Resolution No. 53-82, request <br />to Congress to enact legislation overturning the Boldt decision. <br /> <br />Resignation, Olympic Area Agency on Aging: <br />Commissioner O'Meara, seconded by Commissioner Mercer <br />mous, the Board accepted t~e resignation of Henrietta <br />with regret. A letter of appreciation will be sent. <br /> <br />By motion of <br />and made unani- <br />P. Haugland <br /> <br />Agreement, Reimbursable Work, Pleasant Harbor Road: This <br />request for assistance in road grading trom the State Parks and Rec- <br />reation Commission was approved and signed following unanimous approval <br />of the motion by Commissioner O'Meara, seconded by Commissioner Mercer. <br /> <br />Lower Hoh Road, Oil City: A letter from Barney Murphy <br />expressing his reasons tor wanting this washed out road repaired was <br />read into the minutes. A letter will be sent to Mr. Murphy explaining <br />that it is not economically feasible at this time. <br /> <br />Adjustment to RID #1 Assessment; Goodhue: In response to <br />Mr. Goodhue's letter ot April 15, 1982 and tollowing investigation, <br />Commissioner O'Meara made a motion to approve an adjustment to the <br />assessment and a refund of $333.65.
