Brown with all <br />members present. <br /> <br />Hearings: <br />Proposed Vacation of an un-named street in Harvey Campbell's <br />addition to Quilcene. <br />Petitioner Frank Hart appeared. No one appeared to speak against the <br />proposed vacation. Engineer Becker submitted his recommendation that <br />the road be vacated. The'Planning Commission also recommends the road <br />be vacated. Therefore it was moved by Commissioner O'Meara second by <br />Commissioner Mercer to sign Resolution No. 69-76; Order of Vacation. <br />Unanimous. <br /> <br />Sheriff Bob Hansen appeared to request permission to submit a bid in <br />order to purchase a boat to be used by his department of official <br />business within County waters. Hansen stated tha boat he has in mind <br />is a 16 horsepower outboard and is 17 feet long. Hansen stated he <br />would submit a bid of $600.00. Motion by Commissioner Mercer second by <br />Commissioner O'Meara to grant Hansen permission to submit the bid. <br />Unanimous. <br /> <br />Steve Johnson, Architect from the firm B.J.S.S. appeared re: the proposed <br />survey for refurbishing the Recreation Center. Johnson submitted a <br />proposal for the job with a price figure of $23.50 per hour not exceeding <br />$3,000.00. Johnson stated his firm has done many buildings of this <br />type and .hey would be very interested in doing the survey. The Board <br />advised that they would consider the proposal and would decide after <br />interviewing all intere$ted Architects. <br /> <br />David Johnston, Architect appeared re: the proposed survey for refurbish- <br />ing the Recreation Center. Johnston submitted his proposal of $25.00 <br />per hour. Johnston stated as of November 10, 1976 his firIll will be <br />enlarging and he will be very capable of handling the job. Johnston <br />informed that if hired he would have the E.D.A. grant application <br />computed within two weeks. The Board advised that they would consider <br />Johnstons proposal and would deside after all Architects are interviewed. <br /> <br />M'.L. Hunt, Architect appeared re: the proposed survey for refurbishing <br />the Recreation Center. Hunt stated that he has done previous work of <br />this type and would be interested in doing the job. Hunt submitted his <br />proposal and quoted a price figure of $17.50 per hour plus $12.50 per <br />hour staff time. Staff time would be any time his staff would be <br />needed ,to perform tasks in regards to the survey. The Board advised that <br />they would consider the proposal and make a decision after lunch. <br /> <br />The Board concurred after reviewing all submitted proposals for the <br />survey of refurbishing the Recreation Center and so moved by motion <br />of Commissioner Mercer second by Commissioner O'Meara that due to the <br />short time schedule alloted for this project the job be awarded to <br />David Johnston because he stated he could have the job completed with in <br />two weeks. Unanimous. <br /> <br />Florence Hicks, Secretary of the Tri-Area Community Center Board of <br />Directors appeared to discuss purcha$ing a sign for the front of the <br />building. Mrs. Hicks also aSked if the County could acquire a few <br />large rocks to be used in thelandscaplng of the building.. The Board <br />advised r-lrs.
