The interface between land and water belongs to all the citizens of the state, <br />and the revised Shoreline Master Program guides us through policy and regulations to enable us to continue to be <br /> <br />good stewards of Jefferson County’s shorelines. <br /><> <br />The State Legislature, the Department of Ecology, the Department of Community Development, and the Jefferson <br />County Board of Commissioners are to be commended for providing the tools and mechanisms to enable the citizens <br />of Jefferson County to play an intimate part in the development of this revision. Never before in the history of land <br />use planning have we experienced such detailed outreach efforts to engage land owners and citizens. There were <br />1 <br /> <br />
