It was ah'Teed that the older equipment should be valued at $10,000 ($100,000 x .10) based on what <br />the equipment might bring at auction, and the value of the recently purchased equipment (1998) should be <br />valued at $4,000. Vice-Chairman Broders moved to overrule the Assessor and reduce the personal property <br />assessment from $104,000 to $14,000. Member DeLeo seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous <br />vote. It was agreed that even though the property is approved for commercial use, it is not <br />zoned as commercial property and should not be valued as such. The residual acreage value was reduced from <br />$7,500 per acre (commercial acreage value) to $5,000 per acre (residential acreage value). Vice-Chairman <br />Broders moved to overrule the Assessor and reduce the value from $92,550 ($72,550 for the land and $20,000 <br />for the improvements) to $78,700 ($58,700 for the land and $20,000 for the improvements). Member DeLeo <br />seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. (See also minutes of December 14, 1999) <br /> <br />Parcel #901 112010: The Board reviewed all the information submitted by both parties and conducted an <br />inspection of this parcel. It was agreed that the current assessment accurately reflects fair market value. Vice- <br />Chairman Broders moved to sustain the Assessor's value of$55,265. Member DeLeo seconded the motion <br />which carried by a unanimous vote. (See also minutes of December 14, 1999) <br /> <br />Parcel #901112041: After reviewing all the information submitted by both parties and conducting an <br />inspection of this parcel, the Board concurred that the parcel should be valued as residential ($5,000 per acre) <br />with a 25% reduction on the residual acreage due to wetlands. Vice-Chairman Broders moved to overrule the <br />Assessor and reduce the value from $53,250 to $47,875. Member DeLeo seconded the motion which carried <br />by a unanimous vote. (See also minutes of December 14, 1999) <br /> <br />Due to another commitment, Member DeLeo excused himself from the meeting. <br /> <br />Parcel #901112 002: After reviewing all the information submitted by both parties and conducting an <br />inspection of this parcel, the Board concurred that the current assessment accurately reflects fair market value. <br />Vice-Chairman Broders moved to sustain the Assessor's valuation of $82,500 ($75,000 for the land and $7,500 <br />for the improvements).
