<br />commissioners' Meeting Minutes: Week of May 29, 1990 <br /> <br />Page: 2 <br /> <br />commissioner Dennison read the conditions that have to be met before the <br />County can grant an exemption to the large lot subdivision provisions. Mr. <br />Lorenzen reported that they had the property surveyed, but the surveyor, <br />Jesse Allen, died before it was recorded (filed). Now the surveyor's wife <br />has also died, so they do not know who to contact to get a copy of it. Mr. <br />Lorenzen stated that he doesn't know if the surveyor had a chance to put <br />allof the survey information together and draw the maps because he became ill <br />and then died shortly after he finished the ground work. <br /> <br />commissioner B.G. Brown stated that it appears that there are some <br />extenuating circumstances on this property. He asked Mr. Lorenzen what they <br />plan to do next? Mr. Lorenzen stated that the roads have to be finished. <br />There are only five parcels left to be sold because Mr. Lorenzen and Mr. <br />Gardiner each kept one tract and one tract was sold. They would like the <br />right to sell the remaining lots and are aSking that they not be required to <br />put an all weather surface on the whole length of the access road. <br /> <br />The Board advised that they would have the Planning Department look into this <br />situation further and make a recommendation to them on what can be done to <br />help Mr. Lorenzen and Mr. Gardiner with this property. commissioner B. G. <br />Brown added that the survey will have to be completed and filed. Mr. <br />Gardiner reported that they put in the earnest money agreement that the <br />property must be approved for an on-site septic system for the sale to be <br />finalized. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM COUNTY DEPARTMENTS <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Establishinq a Name for a Private Road: Dabob View Road: <br />Administrative Secretary, Eileen Simon, reported that this private road is <br />off the of Camp Discovery Road. The Fire Chief for this area reviewed this <br />request and reported that he has no problem with it, and the name is not in <br />conflict with any other road name in the County. Commissioner B. G. Brown <br />moved to approve Resolution No. 59-90 establishing the name for a private <br />road as Dabob View Road. Commissioner Dennison seconded the motion which <br />carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT reI Reimbursable Work: Obtainina Fuel from Jefferson <br />County Shop: Ouilcene School District: County Engineer Bob Nesbitt reported <br />that the Quilcene School District is updating their fuel tanks and this <br />agreement will allow them to use the County's facilities until that is done. <br />Commissioner B. G. Brown moved to approve the reimbursable work agreement <br />with the Quilcene School District as presented. Commissioner Dennison <br />seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />CONTRACT re: Furnishing Aluminum Culvert PiDe and DimDle' Bands: <br />Contech Construction Products. Inc.: Commissioner Dennison moved to approve <br />the contract with Contech Construction Products, Inc. for furnishing the <br />aluminum culvert pipe and dimple bands as awarded. Commissioner B. G. Brown <br />seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Notice of Hearina on ApDlication for Franchise: Gary BandY: Eileen <br />Simon reported that this application for franchise is to allow the <br />installation of a sewer line in the right-of-way of the Gardiner Beach Road. <br />Commissioner B. G. Brown moved to approve Resolution No. 60-90 the hearing <br />notice setting the hearing for June 18, 1990 at 10:30 a.m. Commissioner <br />Dennison seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Application to Open County Road Riaht-of-Way: Arden Street in Iron- <br />dale: James E. Bufford. ADDlicant: Transportation Planner, Scott Kilmer, <br />reported that this application is to open County road right-of-way to private <br />road standards along Arden Street in Irondale. The adjacent property owner <br />has built two sheds on the right-of-way and he will have to be notified to <br />take them down. There are fir trees on the right-of-way, but the Prosecuting <br />Attorney has indicated that the County may not be entitled to half of the <br />mill value of the timber removed.
