Per conversation with Jeff Schreck on 11/8/07, I understand that the Department of
Natural Resources is aware that this right of way was transferred to the Washington State
Department of Transportation in the early 1990's.

On 09/14/1951 the Department of Natural Resources issued a right of
way agreement to JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONER for a/an 3.5900 CHA
Easement located at:
That portion of the bed of Port Townsend Bay in front Extended Public
Land Survey of Lots 1 and 3, and the tidelands of the second class
below the line of mean low tide in front of Lot 3, all in Sectio ...
T29.0 R01.0E S06
We are auditing this right of way agreement and need to know: 1) if
the area granted under this right of way is still being utilized for
the authorized use; and 2) if JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONER owns and
maintains the 3.5900 CHA Easement.
Please check the appropriate line and return this letter to the
address below:
1. Do you still need this area for the placement of the
3.5900 CHA Easement?

2. If not, are there any improvements still on this site?

another entity, we will need to do a legal transfer of the assignment.
You will need to notify us so that assignment documents can be

Will looked into the attached and discovered that it is land at the
base of the near side of the bridge going to Indian Island on
SRI 16. Bruce said that the road and ROW was turned over to
WSDOT.
On 11/8/07, Will talked to Jeff Schreck at WA DNR and he said
DNR is aware that the lease needs to be transferred to WSDOT.
Jeff recommended that we do nothing about the form.
We could attach a statement that says the easement has been
transferred to WSDOT.
(I have the form to fill out -this one with the writing on it is a
work copy.)
