AUTHORIZATION PURSUANT TO 18.19.150 JEFFERSON COUNTY CODE (JCC)
I have applied for a permit from DCD in area of the Port Hadlock-Irondale UGA where a sewer is
not yet available. I agree to the conditions required by JCC 18.19.150 for approval of my
application for a permit by DCD in area of the Port Hadlock-Irondale UGA where a sewer is not
yet available, as follows:
(1) I understand and agree that my agreement to this authorization does not guaranty that my
application for a permit will be approved by DCD and that my application must meet all other
requirements for my permit.
(2) I understand and agree that approval of the permit obligates me to pay the PUHGA Sewer Utility
to hook up my property to the P14UGA sewer system, once the sewer becomes available to my
property.
(3) I acknowledge that installation of the sewer system in the Port Hadlock UGA is a major public
works project for which schedule delays are foreseeable, despite best efforts;
(4) I acknowledge that commencement of construction will not be granted for my approved permit
until the director of the department of public works provides an authorization stating that the
county has executed a contract for construction of the pressure sewer to my property and provides
a projected timeline for completion of the sewer connection to my property;
(5) I acknowledge that a certificate of occupancy will not be issued for my approved permit until the
sewer connection to my property is completed and the PHUGA sewer system is declared
operational by the department of public works;
(6) I accept and agree to assume the risk of and waive any damages resulting from a delay in
commencement of construction or receipt of a certificate of occupancy as required by
18.19.150(2)(a) JCC, even if my permit is approved;
(7) I accept and agree that any time period set in Title 18 of the Jefferson County Code, including but
not limited to time periods outlined in JCC 18.40.300, will be tolled during the following
possible delays:
(A) Necessary to complete installation of the sewer system connection to my property; and
(B) Necessary for the sewer system to be declared operational.
I declare under penalty of perjury under the law of Washington that the foregoing is true and
correct.
