Career Transition for Special Forces
VA aims to provide military transition services to Veterans, regardless of their location or circumstances, but not all Veterans are enrolled with VA. A unique feature of Oregon and
southwestern Washington is the region’s lack of active bases, which can make it more difficult to contact already hard-to-reach groups of Veterans.

back to civilian life. The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is mandated by Congress under Title 10 U.S.C., Chapter 58, Sections 1142 and 1144. The legislation and DoD Instruction
