CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL - PERMIT N . SEP99-00326 C cn
1.) This site has been granted a waiver from the state onsite sewage regulation
246-272-09501 Compliance with conditions of the waiver is required.
2.) Cut cap and re-route the existing water lines as designed. Verification required by the
designer or health department.
3.) Steel casing of both sewer lines at water line crossing is required as designed. Sewer
lines must be below the water lines.
4.) The existing tanks cabin & home shall be properly abandoned. It shall be pumped and
filled with clean fill. Documentation to be provided to Health Dept. prior to final.
5.) BED TO BE EXCAVATED TO A MINIMUM 35" DEPTH AND THEN BACKFILLED WITH
ASTM 33 TYPE SAND TO 24"AND UP SIDE WALLS AS PER DESIGN.
6.) The existing cabin must be"officially"converted or use changed to a shop. This must be
done through the building department. No bedrooms, kitchen, or bathing facilities are
allowed.
7.) The existing driveway must be blocked and re-routed as designed
8.) AS PER WAC 246-272 ALL ALTERNATIVE SYSTEMS REQUIRE MONITORING. THIS
MONITORING IS PROVIDED BY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE JEFFERSON COUNTY
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION AND THE JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC
UTILITY DISTRICT#1. THIS SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM WILL REQUIRE AN
ACTIVE MONITORING CONTRACT WITH THE PUD#1 PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL
OF THE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM.
9.) Approval/issuance of a sewage disposal permit does not guarantee the approval of other
development or a building permit on this site. Compliance with other Jefferson County and
Washington State Codes is required.
10.) Health Dept. required to observe pressure test, 48 hour notice to be given.
11.) An asbuilt drawing and certification of completion by the designer is required prior to final
approval.
12.) Setbacks to all wells- 100' required from drainfield and reserve areas. 50' required from
tanks and effluent transport lines.
13.) When/if designated reserve area is utilized an alternative system providing an additional
level of treatment may be required.
14.) All components of the septic system are to be completely protected from vehicular traffic
or mechanical disturbance. Protective barriers are required around drainfield.
15.) Contact designer prior to installation for staking of drainfield area.
16.) Divert all sources of drainage, including roof drains away from septic tank and drainfield
area.
17.) Any portion of transport line under a driven way is to be double cased or equivalent.
18.) Dose counters are required in the control panel for all drainfield components.
