Dear neighbors –
We did a cool thing: we launched the bipartisan Congressional Ferry Caucus <https://iqconnect.house.gov/iqextranet/iqClickTrk.aspx?&cid=WA06ER&crop=14582.5612158.5167958.7318396&report_id=&redirect=h

attention to our public ferry systems across the country, which are critical transportation lifelines that have too often been overlooked and underfunded. I’ll be serving as Co-Chair
alongside Representatives Nick Begich, (AK-At Large), John Garamendi (CA-03), and Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11).
As you all know, ferries aren’t optional in our region, they’re essential. Whether you’re commuting to work, heading to a medical appointment, visiting family, or traveling for a special
occasion, these boats keep us connected. They also bring visitors from near and far to experience the beauty of the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas, and support our vibrant local businesses.
We marked the launch of the caucus with a press conference <https://iqconnect.house.gov/iqextranet/iqClickTrk.aspx?&cid=WA06ER&crop=14582.5612158.5167958.7318396&report_id=&redirect=https%3a%2f%2fran
dall.house.gov%2fmedia%2fpress-releases%2freps-randall-larsen-alongside-state-leaders-wsdot-urge-bold-investment&redir_log=915756583855827> back in our Washington a few weeks ago. I
boarded the Kingston ferry to Edmonds and joined Congressman Rick Larsen (WA-02), who also serves as the Ranking Member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, Washington
State Senator Marko Liias, Washington State Representative Greg Nance, and Deputy Assistant Secretary, Washington State Ferries (WSF), WSDOT Steve Nevey at a press event highlighting
just how important Washington’s ferries are to our communities and our economy.

I’m committed to working alongside my colleagues, here in Washington state and at the federal level, to fight for the federal resources our public ferry systems need. Together, we’ll
build a more resilient, more connected future for our ferry-dependent communities.
Talk to you soon!
