Dear Commissioners,
Below is the boiler plate email invite copy I’ve sent out to a large number of VIPs, including our state reps as well as some county and federal.
It is my hope that a Jefferson County Commissioner can join us, and of course Commissioner Brotherton being the obvious representative of choice. If Greg’s schedule doesn’t permit it
(it is short notice) I hope one of the two of you can free up your calendar and join us.
Let me know if you’ve any questions and I look forward to your reply.
Best!
Andrew
=======
This is a personal invite from the Jeffco South County Task Force to a Brinnon Flood Plain educational and strategy meeting event happening on July 30th, beginning at 11am at the Brinnon
Community Center (address below).
The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a Site Visit of the Brinnon Downtown (LAMIRD <https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=what+is+a+lamird> ) to educate attendees on
the issues and challenges in regard to mitigating the FEMA designation and flood plain concerns of this area in Brinnon. The Lower Lazy C HOA is also included in this Flood Plain designated
area.
The South County Task Force is primarily made up of local residents with a vision for a resilient Brinnon community protected from flooding with sustainable wastewater solutions in order
to protect the public and the area’s natural resources.
Through collaboration and proactive planning, we aim for effective mitigation, a well-informed community, and strong partnerships, ensuring Brinnon’s long-term well-being, economic vitality,
and environmental integrity. We also look to be an example for our County, State and Federal organizations as to what a small community can accomplish when there is a common community
goal.
With the assistance of Tami Pokorny of Jeffco Public Health, this event will include representatives from these two state organizations.

Sincerely,
Andrew
