Principal Petitioner Cathy Stegman, has requested that the County vacate the western 20-foot
portion of Lower Adelma Beach Rd abutting parcel 001-324-021. Details regarding the history
of these rights-of-way, as well as findings and recommendations. regarding the proposed vacation
are provided in the County Engineer's Report sent separately.
The Principal Petitioner is the current owner ofrecord of Tax Parcel 001-324-021. The right-of
way proposed for vacation is the western 20-foot portion of Lower Adelma Beach Rd abutting
parcel 001-324-021. See vicinity map and annotated parcel map attached as Exhibit 1.
A hybrid (video conference and in-person) public hearing on the proposed vacation to be
conducted by the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner is scheduled for Tuesday July 29, 2024 at
2:00 p.m.
In accordance with Jefferson County Code ("JCC") 12.10.050, I emailed/mailed notice of the
petition and upcoming hearing, including a request for comments on the proposed vacation, on
June 13, 2025 to applicable County departments and other entities and businesses.1 I also sent
(via U.S. Mail) notices of the petition and the upcoming public hearing to property owners
within 300 feet of the subject rights-of way (see list of Adjacent Property Owners ("APOs") and
sample notice attached as Exhibit 3).
No objections to the proposed road vacation were raised by any of the County departments,
entities or businesses which received notice. A report submitted by the Department of
Community Development, indicates there is not an objection to the road vacation, that report is
included as Exhibit E to the County Engineer's report. No written or oral objections have been
received as of the date of this report from nearby property owners. 1 See Distribution List and Sample Notice Attached as Exhibit 2.
