SITREP NUMBER 1 EOC STATUS Condition 3
1 – SUMMARY/INCIDENT UPDATE
At 1409, a structure fire was reported near the bottom of Morocco Place, Brinnon. This structure
appeared to be an abandoned house, with fire spreading to nearby brush and trees.
As of 1800, the fire is approximately five acres burning brush, timber, and grass.
There are currently 70 personnel assigned to the incident from several agencies, including North
Kitsap, Mason, and DNR.
Timeline of EOC response, per Nixle:
1444 -LEVEL 3 - GO NOW evacuation orders for residents of Belgian Dr, Morocco Pl, Rock Brook
Rd,Arabian Dr, Shetland Ln in Brinnon due to fire
1445 - EOC activating to Level 3 - Partial Activation, due to wildfire in Brinnon. Level 3 evacuation
orders in effect
1513 - LEVEL 3 – GO NOW evacuation orders remain in effect. Aircraft will be responding at approx.
1530. NO FLY ZONE IN EFFECT FOR ALL DRONES IN AREA.
15:48 - LEVEL 3 - GO evac orders now include residents on North side of Dosewallips Road, from
Rockybrook Rd to approx 1 mile north.
Jefferson County Sheriff ’s department responded with deputies alerting residents of the evacuation
door-to-door, as well as Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) support and traffic control.
Red Cross opened an evacuation center at the Brinnon Community Center. Quilcene Community
Center has been identified as an overnight shelter if needed. As of 1800, there is no known request for
overnight accommodations.
State Fire Marshall, Chief John Batiste authorized State Mobilization for the Belgian Fire at 16:30
hours today. The SEOC is at level 2 Partial Activation. Field staff will be reporting to the fire and the
ESF-4 staff will be working remotely or in the SEOC
An EOC briefing was held at 1800 for stakeholders.

3 – DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS
The EOC was activated at 14:14 and remains activated at Condition 3 at this time. - Nixles were sent
and will be update each change in status.
There is the potential for a reduction in evacuation orders later this evening, to be determined.
Another briefing will be held tomorrow morning; time TBD.
