SUBJECT: SPECIAL SERIES: Jefferson County Historical Society re: Cultural Heritage
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Objective 6.A. of the County's Strategic Plan calls for the celebration of the culture, heritage and
diversity in Jefferson County through events and programming. The Commissioners approved an
agreement with the JCHS to provide the cultural heritage lecture series on June 23, 2025.
ANALYSIS:
JCHS will kick off this series on July 28,2025 with an overview of their recorded programs, all available
online,as well as upcoming programs and how to access them.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Agreement previously approved in the amount of$1,200 for 2025.
RECOMMENDATION:
Listen to the cultural heritage presentation and participate in discussion.
