Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: This change order changes the contract to include increased electrical cost for both the JC jail and sheriff office due to differing field conditions; and the addition of existing bid items through a county field directive to Strider Construction. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The amount for Change Order No. 3 is $23,736.92. The contract amount will increase from $2,782,422.98to $2,806,159.90. NOTE, the cost includes 9.2% sales tax. The project is funded at 100% by the Department of Ecology combine funding package (Centennial grant, State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan and SRF forgivable loan). Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize Change Order No. 3 with Strider Construction, and return one original to Public Works for further processing. In addition,Strider was given field directives to utilze the exisitng bid items:a end cleanout at property 113b;and a tank size increase at Property 92. All work materials and measurement to be in accordance with the provisions of the standard specifications and special provisions for the type of construction involved.
