An easement was granted July 27, 1994 to Puget Sound Power & Light Company AFN 374562 of which Jefferson County Public Utility District #1 is the successor in interest and a consent to use of easement was granted January 29, 2013 to Jefferson County Public Utility District #1 Shown in the Engineer’s Report Exhibit C – Easement & Consent to Use of Easement. A report submitted by the Department of Community Development, indicates there is not an objection to the road vacation, that report is included as Exhibit E to the County Engineer’s report. No written or oral objections have been received as of the date of this report from nearby property owners. In addition to the mailed notices to potentially affected agencies and property owners, notice of the hearing was published in the Jefferson County Port Townsend Leader on August 2 and August 9 in accordance with RCW 36.87.050 (Exhibit C – Publication of Notice). On July 22, 2025, Public Notices of the petition to vacate, upcoming hearing, and instructions for commenting were posted at each terminus of the subject road in accordance with RCW 36.87.050 and JCC 12.10.050 (Exhibit D – Declaration of Posting).
