Before Simms Street is vacated, an easement agreement should be executed with the property owners who will assume ownership of the land. I am no longer in a position to advance this easement process, but I have cc’d the current PUD General Manager for follow-up. The Jefferson County Hearing Examiner will conduct a public hearing at 10:00 a.m. on August 15, 2025 to consider the request to vacate these road rights-of-way. This is a hybrid meeting, you are welcome to attend in-person or online via Zoom.
