WHEREAS, it is the desire of the County Commissioners of Jefferson County to dispose
of surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department bas indicated a need to dispose of a jlllrCel no
longer needed for their purposes, at public auction to be held on December 14, 2010.
Parcel Number 702-273-005 being described as:
That portion of the south half of the Southwest quarter ofSeetlon 27, Township 27
North, Range 2 West W.M.lylngwesterly of the Westerly line of State Route 101
and as described In JeffersoD. County Auditors IDe Number 333892.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of Jefferson County
that a Notice of Hearing sbaII be published as required by RCW 36.34.020 particularly
descnDing the property to be sold and desigoating the place where, the day and hour, when the
hearing will be held for such consideration.

ON TIIE INTENTION OF JEFFERSON COUNTY
TO SELL SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
will hold a public hearing on the 25th day of October 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the County
Commissioner's Chambers, Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street, Port
Townsend, Washington, for the purpose of declaring their intention to dispose of surplus
property described as;
Parcel Number 702-273-005 being described as:
That portion of the south half of the Southwest quarter of Seetion 27,
Township 27 North, Range 2 West W.M. lying westerly of the Westerly line
of State Route 101 and as described in Jefferson County Auditors File
Number 333892. Situate in the County of Jefferson, state of Washington.
Your views for or against the sale of this surplus real property are invited by attendance,
representation, or letter.

Sale of County OWned Property
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Authorize the sale of one parcel currently owned by the county through a Public Works
purchase. Property saie Is appropriate for sale and return to the tax roles. A citizen has submitted an application to
purchase parcel 702 273 005 in Qullcene.
ANALYSIS: Property In question has been approved by Public Works and will be sold at auction on December 2010.
An appralsalls being done by an outside firm now.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Public Works wlll benefit from the sale.
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize notice of the intended sale.
