Board of Natural Resources Election Results
Congratulations Commissioner Randy Johnson
I am pleased to announce that Clallam County Commissioner Randy Johnson has been elected as the county representative on the Board of Natural Resources (BNR).
The BNR has policy authority over the State Forestlands held in trust for counties and taxing districts. Income flowing from these lands is distributed annually to counties based on

This past July our current representative, Skagit County Commissioner Lisa Janicki, notified WSAC that she was resigning from the BNR, effective 8/31/2025. The election process was
immediately initiated to avoid any gap in representation.
The process for electing a new county representative included a solicitation for nominations, a public meeting with the candidate, and the issuance of ballots. The process includes legal
requirements set out in RCW 43.30.205(2).
All counties which contain State Forestlands were eligible to vote in the election. Ballots were due on 8/13/2025.
