Re: Request to Examine Witnesses at Public Hearing
Rock Island Shoreline Application SDP 2024-00006
As a Party of Record, I request the opportunity to examine witnesses at the Open Record
Hearing. The witnesses I would like to examine are Donna Frostholm, Greg Ballard, and Robert
Carson. In support of this request:
1. Jefferson County Hearing Examiner Rule 5.1 allows parties of record to examine
witnesses “at the discretion of the hearing examiner.”
2.I received notification yesterday afternoon (2:39 pm, August 14, 2025) of the SEPA
Appeal dismissal, precluding my examination of witnesses as an Appellant.
3.I believe I can streamline examination by structuring it primarily around AP-19
“Showalter Annotated Staff Report,” which highlights passages and other exhibits for
quick reference.
