Dear Commissioners,
Does anyone monitor what JCSO puts out on their Facebook feed and how they manage it? I find it deeply troubling that they allow (encourage?) speculation and irresponsible comments
about a crime that will likely end up in court. The why wouldn’t JCSO limit commentary on this post? I am not a lawyer but it’s clear to me that a defense attorney could use this
to argue his client can’t get a fair trial in this county. Why hamstring the county prosecutor when it’s not necessary? This is very poor social media management by our sheriff.
