Holthaus - Bayside, Cheryl Weinstein - Dove House, Deanne McCausland -
Bayside, Debbi Tesch - Housing Authority, Renata Munfrada - CIty of PT,
Trevor Breland - Bayside Shelter Manager, Judy - Bayside.
Apple Martine - Health dept - BOCC Community meeting tonight at 6PM at the
Point Hudson pavillion. Anya has CoVid tests till Sept. 30th.
Judy - Shelter Meals - the July budget for the shelter was $7.000 over $25,000 budget for
month because of lack of meals coming from churches and other groups. Anya willing to
do a social media campaign to get people to bring meals to the Shelter.

to sign up for meals. New Life is doing a 5 day week a month. QUUF is
trying to follow suit. Leaves 2-3 5-day weeks a month needed.
Trevor - there is an outbreak of CoVid. 3 guests who are positive. (there is also a
shelter guest in a hotel). Shelter is full. No new guests because of CoVid. Need cooks, and
food. Costco stuff and churches etc to cook - needed. One of the women’s dorms and two
single rooms can house 8 people with CoVid - that is how they are quarantining.
Greg - shelter coalition is where conversations about the shelter and encampments
happen. There is also a group of providers.
Cheryl - Housing Task Force - sharing solid best practices between providers. So that
people will be treated similarly by all the local providers. This is a part of the 5 year plan.
Encampment future:
Renata - Amy Howard is putting together a group to talk about
encampments. Reached out to landlord of DSHS building and they did not call back. WIll continue to try to engage. Julia - contact with fire dept. To provide fire extinguishers and training.
Anya - Robert from Fire Dept. Helping him to build relationships and provide water based fire extinguishers. He will come out on a Friday when Mike McCutcheon and other providers will be there. Apple - Robert is a great teacher. He is also doing trainings for the DD community who are housed.
Greg - water access Quilcene - water manager from PUD. How hydrants
work, developing plan for Quilcene. Greg is working on systems to find
ways to develop the infrastructure to give people access to water.
Julia - encampment question for a rural site - Apple - 360 385-9444 - Health Dept. Environmental Health
Next meeting: We would regularly meet in two weeks on 9-2, but due to
Labor Day that will be the BOCC meeting day. So our next meeting will be 9-16 at 11:15 Accessible at the Recovery Cafe (hybrid) or
