As we near the close of summer, I want to take a moment to reflect on an eventful and inspiring August for the County Road Administration Board. This month offered a reminder of why our work matters—not only to the counties we serve but to the communities that rely on safe, accessible roads every day. Earlier this month, CRAB staff had the privilege of hosting legislators and our board for a tour <https://t.e2ma.net/click/pf3jcn/5ngk51mb/5j1d7xc> of noteworthy projects in Clark and Cowlitz Counties. Seeing firsthand the impact of these projects reaffirmed our mission and showcased the incredible dedication of our county road departments. August also marked a major milestone for CRAB: our 60th anniversary <https://t.e2ma.net/click/pf3jcn/5ngk51mb/lc2d7xc> . Since 1965, CRAB has been a cornerstone in preserving and advancing Washington's county road systems. While much has changed in six decades, our commitment to supporting counties with technical expertise, funding programs, and policy leadership has remained constant. As we celebrate this anniversary, we do so with deep gratitude for the partnerships, progress, and shared purpose that have defined our journey.
