On August 25th, 2025 I attended your board meeting at the Jefferson County Courthouse.
I presented the notion that the resolution from 2017; resolution No. 17-014, be amended to remove (from point A. of the resolution) the statement "The Port Townsend Police Department
(PTPD) will not detain or arrest a person based on their immigration or citizenship status UNLESS PURSUANT TO A FEDERAL CRIMINAL WARRANT ISSUED BY A FEDERAL JUDGE OR MAGISTRATE.
My suggestion was based on the apparent take over of our federal government by peoples not aligned with the good of the citizens of the United States. The Board members seemed to agree
to this statement and said they would attend to this matter.
Could you please let me know what has been done regarding this and if there are any other meetings regarding this resolution that I could attend?
