Convention of Counties
We are making progress in expanding discussion of the Convention of Counties. If by chance this is a first time read, take time to review our website or drop me a line. Yes, I am sending
this to everyone on a Bcc, so that some level of confidentiality is maintained.
Simply, we have done the research and discussed with a team, that this idea to reapportion the State Senate back to County Representation is both timely and possible. Just have the conversation
and decide for yourself, is this worth the investment?
Just ask yourself:
* What if we could reapportion the State Senate back to being represented by the Counties, would this make a difference?
* Could we stop the unfunded mandates?
* Could we ensure that the Rural interests of this state are recognized?
* Do we have a better chance of lowering taxes and removing regulations?
In any event we have more to come. Would love to present at your upcoming state meeting, to answer questions and provide further insights. Our math shows that 26 counties can call this
convention. Once we have consensus on an action to be taken, we would need 30 counties to Ratify the action. This does not require endless hours of signature gathering, only to have
our Legislature turn us away, it only requires 26 counties to begin the discussion.
