Thank you to everyone who rode in this year's Tour de Lavender <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=1c1d68cacb&e=2f0c4aec92> (TdL)! This amazing ride is the premiere cycling event on the Olympic Peninsula. It is also our largest fundraising event of the year. It was also loads of fun! We partnered with 7 local lavender farms, and gave riders beautiful views during the 62-mile Metric Century or the more leisurely 34-mile Fun Ride. There were lots of families and lots of fun cycling outfits. The ride ended with pizza and drinks! Save the date and join us in 2026 - August 1, 2026. Start planning your trip today! Connecting our Trail Towns (Port Ludlow, Quilcene, Chimacum, Port Hadlock) to the Olympic Discovery Trail from the Hood Canal Bridge to Discovery Bay is a priority. This will guide park planning and management through 2037. They would like your input in their Public Opinion Survey. Parks survey is here <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=8c9c1ddbe5&e=2f0c4aec92> Trail Projects in Clallam County The Trails Advisory Committee assists Clallam County in addressing trail and non-motorized transportation issues and needs, particularly related to the Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT) and the Olympic Adventure Trail (OAT). * An update on the trail from Forks to La Push included a neighborhood meeting that was held in the 3 Rivers area, informing local property owners of upcoming environmental and cultural surveying. The response was quite positive. Discussions on routing and answering questions and concerns were the primary focus of the meeting. * There is worked planned where the ODT crosses Carlsborg Road. The Carlsborg Crossing project, as well as Jamestown Sklallam’s efforts to relocate the ODT off of Old Blyn Highway are both proceeding. * Clallam County's Thursday Crew is a volunteer work party who works on the trail. They metet regularly and even had a celebration party that included a paella cookoff!
