Jefferson County Public Works will be listing more surplus heavy equipment this week on GovDeals, a platform widely used by government agencies for surplus auctions. The public will
have the opportunity to purchase these items through the online consignment auction service. The auction is scheduled to run for 14 days, from Friday, September 5, 2025, through Friday,
September 19, 2025.
A public viewing date has been scheduled for:
Friday, September 12, 2025 – 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. All visitors must check in at the office.

371 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock, WA 98339
The surplus inventory includes a Patch King asphalt hot box, a truck-mounted broom attachment, an Elgin Crosswind street sweeper, two John Deere backhoes, 5-yard and 10-yard dump trucks,
New Holland tractor with boom mower, V-box and tailgate sanders, loader tires, and other utility vehicles and attachments.
Additional listings on GovDeals will be posted incrementally throughout the year, with details about availability, viewing opportunities, and bid procedures provided directly on the
auction website using: http://www.govDeals.com/JeffersonCountyWA
“GovDeals has been a great platform for us to dispose of used vehicles and equipment. It’s efficient and reaches a wide audience,” said Monte Reinders, County Engineer and Director
of Jefferson County Public Works. “The money that we bring in from these auctions will go back into current maintenance as well as purchasing newer, more effective tools to better serve
our community.”
The County Treasurer will oversee the auction process, and all proceeds from sales will return to the fund that originally purchased each item.
Items not sold at auction are typically redirected to other County departments, nonprofit organizations, recycling centers, or to the Transfer Station for final disposal.
