This is the kind of stuff that really pisses me off. We’ve got Republican politicians who cry about the cost of food stamps. Who say we can’t afford to pay teachers more or expand healthcare. But when it comes to sending armored trucks into our cities like we’re at war with our own people? Crickets. Can someone explain to me when IEDs became part of DC’s crime problem? Let’s be honest: This isn’t about public safety. It’s about control. It’s about Trump flexing like a wannabe dictator. It's a strongman tactic, not a solution. And here’s the thing: If we don’t fight back politically, it’s only going to get worse. That’s why we started Leaders We Deserve. Because the only way to stop Trumpism — to stop this twisted version of “law and order” that tramples over civil rights and common sense — is to elect a new generation of leaders who give a damn about people.
