I am happy to add my voice in support of an increase to the Noxious Weed Assessment. The assessment has not changed in 10 years and with inflation that means we've really fallen behind
on what is needed to support the work load.
As a Board Member of the Friends of Fort Worden State Park, I know how important the Jefferson County Noxious Weed Control Board's efforts are to managing invasive species and keeping
the park a place that everyone can enjoy.
Please increase the assessment to $5.50/ acre and $0.45/ parcel to keep pace with inflation and enable the work to keep up with demand in the future.
