Seasonal Closures of Forest Campgrounds
OLYMPIA, Wash., September 16, 2025 — Seasonally operated campgrounds in Olympic National Forest have begun closing for the 2025 summer season. Visitors to the forest are reminded to
“know before you go” and have a plan for where to stay overnight.
Seasonal campground closure dates are as follows:
Hood Canal Area Campgrounds:
* Dungeness Forks: September 22
* Collins: September 22
* Seal Rock: October 27
* Hamma Hamma: October 27
* Lena Creek: October 27
* Falls View: Closed
* Big Creek: Closed
* Brown Creek: Closed
* Lebar Horse: Closed
Quinault Area Campgrounds:
* Willaby: October 31
* Falls Creek: Closed
* Gatton: Closed
* Campbell Tree Grove: Closed
Forks Area Campgrounds:
* Littleton Horse Camp: December 1
* Klahowya: Closed
All listed campgrounds except for Collins are cashless. First come-first serve campgrounds sites can be paid with credit or debit card at self-service stations on site or through the
