O. Box 42525 Olympia, WA 98504-2525 Greetings, We are writing in support of Bayside Housing& Services' application for state funding to cover construction costs through the Department of Commerce for the Vince's Village project in Port Townsend. Bayside has been offering housing and services to vulnerable individuals and families while providing a pathway to housing stability and security since 2016. As the Jefferson County housing crisis continues to build,Bayside has expanded from transitional housing and shelter to affordable and permanent housing for households that live at or below 50%AMI. This is an area of critical need that is aligned with Jefferson County's Homeless Crisis Response and Housing 5-year plans, as well as with our GMA-required Comprehensive Plan. Bayside Housing & Services has worked effectively with community and local government partners to improve the lives of individuals and families at very low-income levels who are experiencing homelessness. Housing is a key issue affecting our community's overall health. We support the Bayside goals to provide wraparound case management in both transitional and permanent housing settings in an effort to break the cycle of homelessness and to create opportunities and support for all people who live and work in Jefferson County. Sincerely, Heather Dudley-Nollette, Dist. 1 Heidi Eisenhour, Dist. 2 -Chair Greg Brotherton, Dist.3 Phone (360)385-9100 jeffbocc@co.jefferson.wa.us
