Dear Mr. Stewart,
I urge to reject the Jefferson County Shoreline Master Plan as written. Send it back to the drawing board.
It is an egregious attack on property rights based on a scientific study of mid western ponds.
No study has been done to justify a 300% increase in the setback from the shoreline for estuarine Puget Sound.
There has been no study that shows our shoreline will benefit for the draconian measures in this plan.
We are in the worst recession in 60 years, implementation of this plan will further erode property values and drive
people into bankruptcy.
Send the plan back for a real scientific study based on the Puget Sound, justify the draconian restrictions.
Put the money the County and State will spend defending the coming lawsuits into real, local science that will benefit
our Sound.
