US 101 at Tumwater Creek in Port Angeles reopens
PORT ANGELES – US 101 is once again open in Port Angeles between Tumwater Truck Route (State Route 117) and South Pine Street Cutoff.
US 101 reopened noon Friday, Sept. 26. Travelers had been using a detour since Sunday, Sept. 14 when the road closed around the clock.

The Washington State Department of Transportation thanks travelers for their understanding and patience. The full closure will allow the contractor to complete construction at Tumwater
Creek this year.
What’s next
Travelers can expect weekday and weekend one-way alternating traffic. The one-way alternating traffic will allow crews to complete the in-water work. Construction is expected to wrap
up this fall.
