Please forgive the delay. Jeffree Stewart Shoreline Specialist Washington Department of Ecology 360-407-6521 From: Tom Callahan [mailto:tcallahanpl@gmail.com] Sent: Saturday, April 17, 2010 9:44 AM To: Stewart, Jeff R. (ECY) Subject: SMP Amendment For the record I am totally against adopting the 2009 SMP Amendment Resolution #77-09. Port Ludlow is a master planned community and was platted many years ago. My lot is not 150 feet deep. Most shoreline lots in Port Ludlow are not 150 feet deep so therefore under this new proposed amendment my property would be deemed worthless. What this county needs are sewers particularly for homeowners who live on the water. Here in Port Ludlow we pay dearly for our sewer connection and as a result our water around Port Ludlow is much cleaner than communities that do not have sewers. Why don't you,as a shoreline specialist, mandate up to date septic tanks and enforce the law instead of making a land grab that in my opinion is totally the wrong way to go? If this Amendment is passed the tax base in Jefferson County will be in chaos and the law suits from shoreline owners will put the County in real danger of collapse financially.
