This documentary will tell the inspiring story of how abandoned railroad corridors across the country have been transformed into vibrant multi-use trails - including right here on the Olympic Peninsula. The Olympic Discovery Trail <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=2887918a3a&e=d7954f414c> is honored to be the westernmost terminus of the Great American Rail Trail (GART). The GART is a visionary 3,700-mile route stretching from Washington, DC. to Washington State. This film highlights the decades-long efforts of trail advocates who faced legal, political, and logistical challenges to make car-free travel across America a reality. Narrated by Academy Award-nominated actor Edward Norton, From Rails to Trails is more than a documentary. Eric will provide a brief presentation on the construction status of the Olympic Discovery Trail segment from Milo Curry Road to Anderson Lake State Park.
