Mr. Jeffree Stewart
Until ALL of the bulleted issues listed in this webpage http://www.proprights.org/JEFFERSON/ are addressed and
remedied by DOE, we can not support DOE's adoption of the proposed Shoreline Master Program (SMP).
We are most concerned about the prospects of our home being declared nonconforming because it will be within the
150' buffer zone. If this happens and our home is destroyed somehow (fire, earthquake, etc.) the six (6) requirements
set forth on page 185 of the SMP ("Rebuilding After Damage:") may be too restrictive. It would be most egregious if we
were forced to rebuild the house back beyond the 150' buffer zone. This possibilty might also significantly reduce the
market value of our home NOW if we had to sell it.
Would you please reply and tell us WHY these additional restrictions are necessary.
