Jefferson County Invites Community Members to an Open House:
Meet the Finalists for the next Community Development Director
Jefferson County is pleased to announce that five highly qualified candidates have been chosen as finalists for the Department of Community Development (DCD) Director position. This
position has been vacant since July 1, 2025, when former DCD Director Josh Peters began his new role as County Administrator.
A Community Open House with the candidates has been scheduled for:
Monday, October 13, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM
WSU Extension Classroom
97 Oak Bay Road, Port Hadlock
Jefferson County residents are encouraged to attend this meeting as an opportunity for members of the public to engage with the candidates, participate in a question-and-answer session,
and offer input to those making the hiring decision.
After two rounds of application windows, Albert Cairns, Sarah Cawrse, Hal Hart, Janet Koch, and Jeremy Williammee have confirmed their commitment to moving forward to the next stage
of the interview process.
