(ECY) Subject:Jefferson County Shoreline Master Program Categories:LASMP Public Comment Mr Jeffree Stewart Regional Planner Washington Department of Ecology Dear Mr Stewart: As a citizen of Jefferson County, I strongly support the Shoreline Master Program (SMP). This has adopted by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners after careful and quite extended consideration of the many factors and factions involved. We, like the adopted SMP, definitely oppose net pen farming. We support enthusiastically the 150 foot buffers to protect the shoreline, something that is a necessity for our county's and children's well- being. Similarly, we are in agreement with almost all of the other provisions. Please note that there is much broader support for the SMP than might be thought given the aggressive approach of the opposition. Thank you for your consideration.
