Dear Mr. Stewart,
As devotees and stewards of the Hood Canal’s natural splendor and beauty, we are very much against any type of future
mining along the shoreline. This area’s rich history, pristine condition, and lure for every type of ecosystem and animal
imaginable makes it a place that will always be worth protecting. These are decisions, that once made, are hard to
reverse if they are in favor if industry. Like any habitat, once it collapses, it does not return. When I walk these areas
weekly, I am awestruck at the osprey, juvenile eagles, and river otters. They are safe in these areas. Please vote for “no
mining Hood Canal shoreline.”
