I do not believe the Pleasant Harbor Master Planned Resort preliminary plat application should be
approved for the following reasons:
1. The peninsula is composed mostly permeable glacial sediments and therefore the water supply may
undergo saltwater intrusion and/or the water may be polluted by wastewater and/or stormwater.
2. The area is rural and should not be contaminated by such a concentration of buildings and people.
Highway 101 is not adequate for the extra traffic from such a resort.
3. The idea of a noisy go-kart track is insane. The same may be true due to additional noisy jet skis. Hood
Canal has orcas, harbor purposes, seals, and river otters; marine mammals should be protected.
Respectfully, Bob Carson, geologist
