These images are from the same spot on Cape George Road and the entry to Huckleberry Place, Port Townsend. There are lights at other roads entering Cape George Colony Club, but this
entry is virtually invisible at night, and I have had many complaints about not being able to see the entry of Huckleberry place. This is a hazard for school children during the fall
and winter months and to anyone driving on Cape George Road, which is very, very dark at night.
Please let me know what I can do for Cape George Colony Club to have the county install a light for the safety of anyone driving that curve in the road. This picture was taken around
8:30 p.m. last night and the image is exactly as it looks to a driver..
Thank you so much for your consideration and attention to this issue.

Hello Commissioners,
Marnie from the Cape George Colony Club is struggling with getting movement regarding her inquiry below. I was wondering if Commissioner Eisenhour would be able to assist her in this
endeavor. I’m going to forward this to the Public Works Director and Asst Director, as well. I had forwarded the email to them back in June, but I don’t believe they’ve had the capacity
to take it on.
Marnie, if you have additional details you’d like to share, please reply all to this email.
Thank you all-

Hello:
I am the General Manager at Cape George Colony Club. It has come to my attention that from late fall to spring the school bus shelters are pitch dark with no street lighting. We feel
this is a danger to children waiting for the bus in the early morning and being dropped off in the late afternoon.
Will Jefferson County help to have lighting installed to make the bus shelters where children wait for the school bus in the dark? This is a safety issue, and we would like to know how
to resolve this problem before September and the short daylight hours return.
The three shelters I am referring to are on Cape George Drive, across from the barn and mailboxes, Huckleberry Place adjacent to Cape George Road, and at Saddle Drive and Cape George
Road.
Please let me know the process to request the installation of lighting by Jefferson County Public Works.
Thank you in advance forattending to this problem!
