I am writing to express strong support for the Pleasant Harbor project and to emphasize its
significance to Jefferson County.
As the President of Peninsula College,I can affirm that our institution is committed to being an
active partner in this transformative initiative.The Pleasant Harbor project represents a unique
opportunity to bring sustainable economic development to our region,and we believe it aligns
closely with our mission to support workforce development and educational access.
Through collaboration with the project and the strategic use of Recompete Funds,Peninsula
College is prepared to help create pathways to good jobs for local residents.We envision tailored
training programs and career development services that will equip individuals with the skills
needed to thrive in the emerging industries supported by Pleasant Harbor.
This project is not just a development opportunity,it is a lifeline for East Jefferson County.For
too long,our communities have faced limited economic prospects and declining opportunities.
Pleasant Harbor offers a chance to reverse that trend,bringing vitality,jobs,and hope to an area
that deeply needs it.
