We host these events for diverse populations in our community to increase knowledge and exposure to bike maintenance skills for folks who may not traditionally feel welcome or comfortable in a bike shop setting. Increased confidence with a bike can translate to taking advantage of the recreational biking opportunities our county offers. Bikes can also provide a reliable and economical form of transportation for everyday life. The ReCyclery’s mission is to promote bicycle use for a healthier and more sustainable community by providing safe and equitable opportunities for cycling through access, education, and advocacy. This grant will help us promote a sense of belonging in the bike community for traditionally marginalized members. Thank you for the opportunity to apply. Please reach out to Nick Singer ( nick@ptrecyclery.org ) or Dave Fierce ( fierce@ptrecylcyer.org ) with any questions. Sincerely, Heather Mirczak Community Outreach Coordinator The ReCyclery
