I am submitting the application for the yard light at the very dark entrance at Cape George Road and Huckleberry Place. It looks like this will happen. Thank you so much! Cape George Colony Club will be very grateful if Jefferson County will contribute to the cost of installation of this light, which will reduce the hazard at Cape George Road and Huckleberry Place, where it is so dark in the Fall through early Spring. The PUD has told me that we will be paying for the light monthly. This light makes Cape George Road, a county road, safer for all travelers, not just those turning onto Huckleberry Road. Thank you so much for your consideration of this request. Marnie W. Hello Commissioners, Marnie from the Cape George Colony Club is struggling with getting movement regarding her inquiry below. I was wondering if Commissioner Eisenhour would be able to assist her in this endeavor. I’m going to forward this to the Public Works Director and Asst Director, as well. I had forwarded the email to them back in June, but I don’t believe they’ve had the capacity to take it on. Marnie, if you have additional details you’d like to share, please reply all to this email. ALERT: BE CAUTIOUS This email originated outside the organization. Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. Hello: I am the General Manager at Cape George Colony Club. It has come to my attention that from late fall to spring the school bus shelters are pitch dark with no street lighting. We feel this is a danger to children waiting for the bus in the early morning and being dropped off in the late afternoon. Will Jefferson County help to have lighting installed to make the bus shelters where children wait for the school bus in the dark? This is a safety issue, and we would like to know how to resolve this problem before September and the short daylight hours return. The three shelters I am referring to are on Cape George Drive, across from the barn and mailboxes, Huckleberry Place adjacent to Cape George Road, and at Saddle Drive and Cape George Road. Please let me know the process to request the installation of lighting by Jefferson County Public Works. Thank you in advance forattending to this problem! Marnie W.
