Subject: Evans Vista Encampment Removal – Request for Pause and Compliance with PTMC 17.62
CAUTION: External Email
Dear City Manager Mauro, Council Members, and County Commissioners,
Attached please find a letter from Olympic Community Action Partnership (OlyCAP), signed October 17, 2025, regarding the planned removal of the Evans Vista encampment.
The letter outlines community concerns about the scheduled November 3 removal and requests that the City pause any action until a lawful, permitted, and accessible site is operational
under PTMC 17.62. OlyCAP and our partners remain committed to collaborating with the City and County to identify and establish a compliant, managed site that meets the intent of both
HB 1220 and the Growth Management Act.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter and for your continued partnership in addressing homelessness safely, lawfully, and humanely.
In the Spirit of Community,
Holly Morgan, MA, SHRM-SCP, CCAP
