I am sharing with you a public comment memorandum from Well Organized of Jefferson County regarding today’s agenda item on updating the Unauthorized Encampment Removal Policy.
We appreciate the County’s commitment to improving transparency and coordination in addressing homelessness and public health. Our attached memo outlines several proposed amendments
to help align the policy with HB 1220 requirements and best practices for low-barrier, Housing First, and harm-reduction approaches.
We share your goal of building a coordinated, compassionate, and legally sound framework for responding to homelessness, and we welcome the opportunity to collaborate further on this
